To apply a custom pay rate, go to the employee’s profile and select the Employment tab, then refer to the Custom Pay Rates section and click +Add Employee Custom Rate.
Caution: Do not set Default Employee Rate (top section) because it will override all other rates. Instead, set Custom Employee Pay Rate (bottom section).
Enter the pay code that you would like to update for the employee as well as the effective date and custom rate.
Once you save the custom employee pay rate, the employee will have a record of what they are being paid for that pay code. In the example below, caregiver Sugar Candy will now be receiving $16.25/hour instead of $16/hour for any services they work with a Custom Rate code associated with it. Overtime and holiday pay will automatically account for this pay rate and calculate properly.
