Invoice Date – Best Practice for Revenue Reporting
Please ensure that the invoice date is manually updated either the last day of the billing week or at the end of each month to adhere to best practices for revenue recording. Homewatch CareGivers’ best practice is to generate invoices and bill clients on a weekly basis. For example, when generating invoices for previous week (March 31st to April 6th) on Monday April 8th, the invoice date should be updated to April 6th. When it comes to the end of the month, invoices for the last full week of March 2024 (March 24th to March 30th, assuming the week runs from Sunday to Saturday) on April 1st, adjust the invoice date to March 31st instead of relying on Care+ to automatically set it as April 1st. This adjustment ensures accurate revenue recording for each week and also the month of March. Similar adjustments will be required for the end of May, June, August, and November in 2024.
